April 2010 Awarded £42,000 grant over 3 years
Crossroads Care Uttlesford has received a grant of £42,000 over 3 years from the Essex Community Foundation. This money is to be used to explore the possibilities of collaborating or merging with other Essex Crossroads Care schemes so as to provide a better and broader service for carers in the county.
We will shortly be appointing a consultant to research the different Essex schemes and to offer advice as to how best the schemes might work together for the benefit of carers.
This grant is part of ECF’s Thriving Third Sector fund set up with funding from the Essex Local Area Agreement Partnership, and Crossroads Care Uttlesford is one of only four charities to have been given a grant. The Thriving Third Sector Fund is being managed by Essex Community Foundation (ECF) who convened a panel of Chief Executives from county-wide charities and a Cabinet Member from Essex County Council, Cllr John Jowers. The Panel determined the criteria and decided on which of the applicants would receive funding.
